"I honestly wasn't excited about winning The Biggest Loser Meal Plan at first. I was thinking 'Oh great, gross pre-packaged meals!' But then I tasted it!
This food really tastes really good and fresh! I was so surprised at the taste and the quality of the meals!"
Elizabeth says The Biggest Loser Meal Plan has definitely been great for her weight loss and a huge convenience since she's been home from The Biggest Loser Ranch. After losing 52 pounds there, she lost an additional 19 pounds at home!
Being surrounded by family when she first came home was an adjustment, Elizabeth recalls. "They think they cook healthy, but really they don't." So she moved away and into a new home with her boyfriend, who she says has been super supportive, and is helping her "get it done right."
"Ever since I came home from the Ranch, I can taste the quality and the freshness of my food," she says about The Biggest Loser Meal Plan. The Spinach and Cheese Frittata is one of her favorites, along with the Blackened Chicken Breast and many of the pasta meals. "I've shared the meals with several people, and the taste surprises everyone!"
Last spring, Elizabeth decided that this was her time to change when she was facing another upcoming uncomfortable summer -- her favorite season -- as the "fat and curvy" girl. She says she was feeling horrible about herself because she knew she'd be the one hiding at the beach instead of wearing something cute.
"I had to hold my breath to tie my shoes and I'd break out into a sweat just to put on my clothes. Plus, my coworkers called me their 'delicate flower' because any little thing would set off my asthma. I knew I needed to make a change; I wasn't happy," she says.
And now, after losing the weight, she's feeling like an entirely new person. "I still have some triggers that cause asthma, but the exercise-induced asthma has reduced tremendously and my endurance is built up."
"It's taken me longer, but I'm doing this the right way for me. This is me; I'm not everybody else and this is my journey. My body is going to lose weight as is right for my body," she continues.
"Every week I feel a difference, stronger, harder. Now I have the respiratory strength that allows me to be a little more intense. That's MY reality and what I'm working with, so I'm pushing as much as I can to overcome that."
Elizabeth is continuing to lose weight, train harder and get healthier each day. Her experience at the Ranch and since being home has helped her to see all she can accomplish. The Biggest Loser Meal Plan helped to make her transition from the Ranch back to home easier and helped her to keep up with her busy, on-the-go lifestyle. And there's no stopping her now!
