“The Biggest Loser Meal Plan is making this journey a lot easier for me, it really is!”

After leaving The Ranch, JaQuin, or “Q” as he is known by, was a little nervous wondering if he’d be able to put his old, unhealthy lifestyle aside. But The Biggest Loser Meal Plan gave him just the boost he needed: “It’s been a tremendous help. I knew the meal plan was just right on the money. I didn’t have to worry about cooking or planning a meal. It helped me to get not only the nutrition I need, but since I didn’t have to keep track of my calories, it helped me to save time for so many other things!”

Since being sent home from The Biggest Loser Ranch, Q has lost an astounding 50 pounds in just 10 weeks. He says one of the biggest differences he’s noticed is in the way his clothes fit and his body. “On the way to L.A., I couldn’t buckle my seatbelt on the plane. On the way home, I could not only buckle it, but I had a little bit of slack! I can go into stores now and buy clothes off the rack; I don’t need to spend more money to special order or to add fabric. I used to have to lean on the grocery cart in the grocery store -- I don’t need that anymore. And I can go up a flight of stairs now without getting winded!”

All of that is a long way from where he started. Before The Biggest Loser show, Q said he was “comfortable” with his on-the-go lifestyle. Being in the entertainment industry, he was eating out every day and often eating on the run. Between that unhealthy eating and an old football injury, Q says he really started to pack on the pounds.

He realized comfortable wasn’t cutting it anymore. After a close friend passed away from complications of obesity, Q knew it was his time to make a change. He said, “He was older than me, and he also had a son who was just a little older than my son. He just went to sleep and didn’t wake up again. I knew I had to change something so I could remain a part of my son’s life… that was the deciding factor. I didn’t want to have to leave my son or leave my wife. That just can’t happen. A week later there was the casting call for The Biggest Loser, and I knew it was going to be my opportunity!”

Well, it definitely looks like it was Q’s big opportunity! Between The Biggest Loser Ranch and The Biggest Loser Meal Plan and over 100 pounds lost, Q’s future looks long and happy with his wife and son.
