"I feel lighter... just walking, I feel physically so much lighter! I'm bouncy! I can bounce down the stairs and it feels so different."
Since coming home from The Biggest Loser Ranch, Sarah has lost an amazing 21 pounds in just 8 weeks!* "Coming back was a shock," she says. "It just slapped me in the face; temptation and cravings were everywhere! My fridge wasn't stocked like it was on the ranch. It was so hard for me!"
Sarah credits The Biggest Loser Meal Plan with helping her through the "learning curve," the transition between being on the ranch and being back home firmly planted in reality.
"I eat The Biggest Loser Meal Plan all the time. The meals are awesome!" she says. "They take two minutes to heat up and I get all the nutrients I need. I know I'm getting the protein and everything I need. We eat them all the time. My husband loves it, too. He's on the plan with me!"
Sarah had struggled with her weight for a long time before going on The Biggest Loser. She said, "I always knew I needed to lose and I wanted to lose, but I struggled with the emotional side, the dedication side. I didn't know what to eat, I didn't know how to cook healthy and I was terrified of exercise. I really wanted it but it felt so out of reach, like something I could never achieve."
The turning point for Sarah came in July of last year, when she lost an ectopic pregnancy and nearly lost her own life in the process. The doctors told her that to have a chance at having a healthy pregnancy, she had to lose weight.
Being part of The Biggest Loser helped Sarah learn the skills she needed, but most of all it helped her to bring a sense of accountability to herself and to her goals. "I decided that if I had America to be accountable to, then there was no turning back and I'd have to do it."
It certainly appears to have worked! Sarah started on the ranch weighing in at 261 pounds.
Today she's just a few pounds shy of a 100-pound weight loss and feeling amazing!
"It's so crazy because it's always been so far out of reach, it's never been tangible at all, and then all of a sudden to be here! Now I can see my goal ahead of me. I feel lighter... just walking I feel physically so much lighter! I'm bouncy! I can bounce down the stairs and it feels so different.
"The greatest thing that has changed is all of the stuff on the inside. I had a really hard time loving myself. I just love myself so much more now and that plays a huge part in all of my relationships; my marriage is better, my friendships are better.
My life all around is just happier; I believe in myself so much more and I don't fear things as much. I can do anything, I can try anything, and if I fail at it, it's ok - cuz it's ok to still try!"
It's always OK to try. What do you have to lose except the weight?
